PURPOSE: A power on/off structure by open/close of a folder type cellular phone is provided that a functional defect due to an external force can be prevented by turning on/off the cellular phone by forming a low-priced press structure in the cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: A power on/off structure consists of a rotation shaft, a protrusion unit(200), a printed circuit board(300), a contact point unit(310), a press(400), a cellular phone main body(500) and a cover(600). The rotation shaft is formed at the upper right and left sides of the cellular phone main body(500), for opening/closing the cover(600) of the cellular phone. The protrusion unit(200) is protruded from one side of the rotation shaft(100), for supporting the press(400). The printed circuit board(300) is disposed at the cover(600), for outputting an on/off signal of the cellular phone power. The press(400) has one side soldered to the printed circuit board(300), and the other side supported by the protrusion unit(200) and on/off-connected to the contact point unit(310) of the printed circuit board(300) according to rotation of the cover(600). When the press(400) is not connected to the printed circuit board(300), the press(400) is elastically separated from the printed circuit board(300), and formed in a zigzag shape for easy on/off contact to the printed circuit board(300). Accordingly, the on/off time of the cellular phone power can be controlled according to open/close of the folder, and a switch unit is not damaged due to an external force.
