USER PROFILE INFORMATION STRUCTURE REFLECTING USER PREFERENCE AND MULTIMEDIA DATA BROWSING METHOD

PURPOSE: The user profile information structure and the multimedia data browsing method are provided to offer a user adaptive searching/browsing environment by performing a search for multimedia data using a user favorite browser. CONSTITUTION: A data type(302) and a user preference browsing information(303) are provided as a data browsing(301). The browsing information structures may be provided by each multimedia object types and genres. The user preference browsing information(303) is an application satisfying a user preference and includes functionality information(304) describing browser information(308), a browsing method and a browsing reference. The functionality information(304) comprises a reference to browser(305), functional information(306) for selecting a browser and weight value information(307) for describing the corresponding weight value. Application information(308) comprises weight value information(309) with respect to the corresponding browser, locator information(310) and a reference to functionality(311) for connecting to information describing a browsing method or a browsing reference.
