PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attenuate undesired oscillation modes of a magnetron in relation to an output system for combining a RF energy output of the magnetron. SOLUTION: A magnetron 10 comprises an anode ring 12 which is concentrically placed along a cathode and spaced away from the cathode. The anode ring comprises a plurality of anode wings 14 which radially extend toward the cathode, and cavities which are respectively specified between adjacent anode wings. One of the anode wings has an output wing 17. A high output microwave signal grows in a first output cavity and a second output cavity arranged on either sides of the output wing. The high output microwave signal is combined with both of the first output cavity and the second output cavity owing to a co-axial transfer line that includes a first coupling loop and a second coupling loop which are respectively arranged in the first output cavity and in the second output cavity. The output wing has an opening at a center portion thereof. The first coupling loop and the second coupling loop possess a common center portion which extends through the opening of the output wing without making contact with the output wing.
