PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile videophone that can ensure nimble operability in the case of scroll retrieval of a telephone directory by processing start of image decoding display processing on the basis of a release signal denoting detachment of an operation key at the retrieval of the telephone directory.
