PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized on-vehicle VICS device that can efficiently apply reception processing to both FM multiplex broadcast information and radio wave beacon information. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle VICS device is provided with an FM multiplex broadcast tuner section 1, a radio wave beacon tuner section 2, a changeover switch 3 that selects the output of the tuner section 1 or 2, a common decoder section 4 that decodes a demodulation signal outputted from the turner section 1 or 2, and a data processing section 5 that converts decoded data into data to be fed to a navigation system connected to the post-stage of the processing section 5. The data processing section 5 applies a switch control signal 8 to the switch 3 to properly select the position of the switch 3 on the basis of reception electric field strength signals 6, 7 detected by the tuner sections 1, 2 and sets the register of a synchronization detection section in the decoder section 4 for an FM multiplex broadcast or a radio wave beacon.
