PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle door monitor for judging whether the door of a vehicle is opened without generating any malfunction and to provide a judging method to be used for the vehicle door monitor. SOLUTION: This vehicle door monitor is provided with a sensor 1 for measuring the air pressure in a cabin, an identifying circuit 2 for identifying whether the change of the air pressure in the cabin reaches a prescribed magnitude from the output of the sensor, and a microcomputer 3 for judging whether the door of the vehicle is opened on the basis of the change of the air pressure of the cabin which is identified by the identifying circuit. When it is judged by the microcomputer that the door is opened, an alarm (unit not shown in figure) is allowed to output an alarm under the control of the microcomputer. The identifying part sets a pressure reference being an upper limit and a pressure reference being a lower limit corresponding to the pressure to be measured by sensor 1, and identifies whether the pressure is beyond the pressure references. When the pressure first surpasses the reference being the lower limit and then surpasses the reference being the upper limit within a fixed period according to the identification by the identifying part, the microcomputer 3 judges that the door is opened.
