METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANAGING GRAPHIC DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record attribute data corresponding to graphic data in a hierarchical structure without performing complicated operation such as function switching operation for defining the hierarchical structure in series of work when recording the attribute data corresponding to the graphic data. SOLUTION: Concerning the graphic data managing device for managing the graphic data of a map or drawing together with the attribute data of these graphic data, identification data for specifying the graphic data in a hierarchical relation with the graphic data corresponding to the relevant attribute data are stored in one part of the attribute data and the graphic data in the hierarchical relation are managed by these identification data.
