PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor and operate the resource of a computer system from one console through the same interface, and to manage resource information by one device. SOLUTION: An integral operating device 1 generates a resource object from hardware resource and software resource information held by each controller 2, 3, and 4 and a client terminal 8, and manages it by a resource object management table 31. Moreover, each controller and client terminal manages the held resource object by each resource object management table 23, 19, 23, and 45 in the same way. The integral operating device 1 transmits an instruction from the client terminal to each controller, and each controller communicates the executed result of the instruction or the state change of the resource object based on the state of the system to the integral operating device 1. Then, the integral operating device 1 communicates the state to the controller and the client terminal holding the resource object.
