PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly expose photographic paper while suppressing stress acting on photographic paper. SOLUTION: A picture printer is provided with a carrying means TM, which carries photographic paper 2, and an exposure means EM which exposes the photographic paper 2 carried by the carrying means TM while successively switching breadthwise picture parts in the photographic paper carrying direction of a picture to be printed. The carrying means TM is provided with carrying rollers R1 and R2, which are driven to carry the photographic paper 2, on both sides in the photographic paper carrying direction of an exposure position EP of the exposure means EM. Carrying rollers R1 and R2 are so constituted that a carrying force acting on the photographic paper 2 may be different between carrying rollers R1 and R2 when both of them are driven to carry the photographic paper.
