ACCUMULATOR FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An accumulator for air conditioning system is provided to obtain a compact-sized accumulator by minimizing the latent heat of vaporization of the refrigerant and thus decreasing the capacity of an electric heater. CONSTITUTION: An accumulator comprises a gas-liquid separation cylinder(11) having a refrigerant inlet port(13) formed at the top of the gas-liquid separation cylinder; a gas-liquid separation plate(15) mounted to be adjacent to the refrigerant inlet port so as to perform a gas-liquid separation operation by scattering the refrigerant introduced through the refrigerant inlet port; a refrigerant gas outlet pipe(17) mounted within the gas-liquid separation cylinder so as to discharge the refrigerant from the gas-liquid separation cylinder to the compressor side, and which has an outlet port exposed outwardly from the gas-liquid separation cylinder and an oil hole(19) formed at the lower end of the refrigerant gas outlet pipe so as to discharge the oil from the bottom of the gas-liquid separation cylinder toward the compressor; a filter(21) mounted at the circumference of the oil hole; an electric heater(23) mounted inside or outside of the gas-liquid separation cylinder so as to convert the refrigerant flowing into the refrigerant gas outlet pipe into gaseous state; and a vibration member(25) mounted inside or outside of the gas-liquid separation cylinder so as to convert the liquid refrigerant in the gas-liquid separation cylinder into gaseous state.
