PURPOSE: An industrial tubular lead storage battery having a positive plate with a particular arrangement of spine unlike conventional products can be produced by general gravity molding for automobile and reduce filling time of sulfur material and make it to be more uniformly filled. CONSTITUTION: An industrial tubular lead storage battery has an altered construction of spine of positive plate with a plurality of ribs transversally arranged and perpendicular to the length of battery. The battery can be manufactured by means of general gravity molding for automobile by increasing the number of ribs and directing ribs to be perpendicular to the length of battery. Because of its unique structure, the battery has shorter ribs about 200mm in length, compared to traditional products having ribs maximum 600mm long. Thus, the battery is effective to reduce time for filling sulfur material and to fill it more uniformly.
