PURPOSE: A safety hand truck is provided to be safely and easily pulled on a slop. CONSTITUTION: A disc(9) is attached to an axle(8) of a multi-wheel type hand truck. A brake cam(10), a clutch cam(11) and claws(12,12') are independently installed around the axle of the disc. The claws always incline to the clutch cam by elastic bodies(13,13') and select a rolling direction. A liner(17) is installed in the inner circumference of a rim(14) in a wheel(1). The liner follows a ratchet wheel(15), a brake drum(16) and the brake cam. A brake lever and a clutch lever are installed in a handle, and the brake lever and the brake cam are connected to a brake cable. A clutch lever and the clutch cam are connected to a clutch cable(7) and a return spring is placed at the bottom of a hand truck body with a cable guide. Thus, the hand truck is easily and safely pulled on a slope with the brake cam, clutch cam and claws.
