PURPOSE: A band removal apparatus is provided to automatically strip and collect a waste wrapping band with a strip when the strip is initiated and to adhere a coil to the center when the band is cut. CONSTITUTION: A band removal apparatus comprises: a separating unit for separating a waste band(28) and a strip before the band passes through a deflect pinch roll(30) and adhering a coil(24) to the center; a discharge unit for collecting and discharging the waste band; and a collecting unit for collecting the band discharged from the discharge unit. Herein, the band is collected after being automatically removed. Thus, the abrasion and breakage of a roll occurring due to the initiation performed while the band is overlapped with the strip are prevented. The strip surface is free from a defect, and repairing cost is saved.
