RADIATIVE POINTER DEVICE OF DASHBOARD OF VEHICLES

PURPOSE: A radiative pointer device improves a pointer and a prism to be integral to place a chip type LED(light emission diode) near the pointer so as to make the light from the chip type LED placed behind a dial face not to disperse but reach the body of the pointer efficiently. CONSTITUTION: A pointer device comprises a dial face(10), a pointer(40), a prism(20), and a chip type LED(30) and a motor(50). The dial face(10) has a penetrating hole on the center thereof. The pointer(40) has a boss(42) inserted into the penetrating hole of the dial face(10) and integrally formed and a reflecting prism(41) inside. The prism(20) placed behind the dial face(10) and installed and integrally formed in the boss(42) of the pointer(40) transmits light. The chip type LED(30) is placed near the bottom surface of the prism(20). The motor(50) is placed behind the dial face(10) on the axis of the pointer(40) and has a shaft connected to the bottom surface of the prism(20). The light perpendicularly projected from the chip type LED(30) and entering the prism(20) runs inside the prism(20), is diffused through a transmitting part(23) and refracted to the reflecting prism(41) by a condenser(43). The light is refracted in the reflecting prism(41), refracted again by the inside surface of the pointer(40) and diffused out. An irregular preventing lens(44) makes the light run only inside of the pointer(40).
