PURPOSE: A block sense amplifying device is provided to reduce a chip size and a power consumption by controlling a plurality of block sense amplifiers by using a controller. CONSTITUTION: The block sense amplifying device includes a plurality of section data line pairs(SDL,SDLB), a plurality of equalizers, a plurality of main data line pairs(MDL,MDLB), a plurality of block sense amplifiers(10) and a controller(12). The equalizers are connected with the data line pairs. The block sense amplifiers amplify a pair of signals applied to the data line pairs and output a pair of the signals fully swung to the main data line pairs. The controller inputs a block sense amplifier enable signal(BSAEN), a section data line equalization control signal(RS) and a pair of output signals(SAO,SAOB) provided by one of the block sense amplifiers, simultaneously provides the equalizers and the block sense amplifiers with a common equalization control signal(SEQ) and a common enable signal(BEN) at the time when a pair of the output signals are fully swung.
