DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ROTATING ENVELOPE IN AUTOMATIC MAIL INSERTING AND SEALING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An envelope rotating device and a method thereof are provided to improve an automatic mail inserting and sealing system by freely rotating a printed envelope rightward and leftward and by applying various sorts of envelopes. CONSTITUTION: An envelope rotating device contains upper and lower guide plates(14,15) in 45 degrees; a rotating device unit(75) rotating an envelope in 90 degrees at the lower end of the upper and lower guide plates; and a lifting device unit(54) preventing the envelope from interfering with an upper feeding roller. The upper and lower guide plates form a protrusion to prevent static electricity and three optical sensors are attached to the lower guide plate. The rotating device unit consists of a first step motor, a second step motor, a third step motor(9), lower rightward and lower leftward rotating rollers(25-1) and lower rightward and lower leftward transferring rollers(46-1). The lower rightward and lower leftward rotating rollers are engaged with upper rightward and upper leftward rotating rollers(35-1) and the lower rightward and lower leftward transferring rollers are engaged with upper rightward and upper leftward transferring rollers(36-1). The lifting device unit consists of a spring supporter(33), a spring(34), a directional changing member(59), the upper transferring rollers and a solenoid device(26).
