Apparatus comprises electrode (12) and at least one insulating material element (16) for separation between bore (14) inner surface and the electrode (12). Component (11) having the bore, and the electrode (12) are connected to an electrical generator. Electrode (12) comprises at least two successive modules (13). A module can pivot with respect to a preceding one. Each module (13) of the electrode (12) consists of a conductive material, and an electrical connection is established between two successive modules. The apparatus also includes a device for moving the electrode with respect to the inner surface of the bore (14), and devices for supply (19) and discharge (21) of electrolyte (18) to and from the inner surface of the bore (14).
