PURPOSE: An ATM(Automatic Teller Machine) control method is provided to notify a security manager of the fact that a thief illegally tries to withdraw cash from the ATM by using a robbed credit card so that it can effectively protect a robbery of the credit card. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a credit card owner designating one password for withdrawing the cash and the other password for notifying a robbery, a user inserting a magnetic stripe card into an ATM and inputting a password(S1-S3), a controller determining if the input password is for withdrawing the cash or notifying a robbery, the controller supplying the cash for the user via a bank note supplier if the password is for withdrawing the cash(S4, S8), the controller taking a photo of the user via a CCTV if the password is for notifying a robbery(S5-S6), the controller calling the security manager while supplying the cash for the user(S7-S8), and displaying an error message on a screen if the password is not for withdrawing the cash or notifying a robbery(S9).
