PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device, capable of preventing a back staining phenomenon caused on recording paper at starting of operation by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: In this image-forming device, when length from an electrifying roller 5 to the contact position of a developing roller 2 with a photoreceptor drum 1 on the outer periphery of the drum 1 is defined as (a), length from the abutting position of a developing blade 9 on the downstream side in the rotating direction of the roller 2 to a position where the roller 2 comes contact with the drum 1 on the outer periphery of the roller 2 is defined as (b), and the ratio of the rotational circumferential speed of the roller 2 to that o the drum 1 is defined as (r), and a<=b/r is held. At such a time, after finishing the development of an electrostatic latent image, the driving of a toner supply roller 8 is stopped, and then the driving of the roller 2 is stopped. In the case of shifting to a next stage for developing the electrostatic latent image, the driving of the roller 2 is started and also uniformly electrifying the surface of the drum 1 by the roller 5 is started nearly simultaneously with the drive start timing of the drum 1. The drive start timing of the roller 8 is made the same as or slightly later than the drive start timing of the drum 1. |
