PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upright LED and the structure of its current flow circuit, wherein a current flow circuit for current flow is effectively demarcated and the current density as well as light-emission efficiency in the effective region are increased, while a dicing process is simplified and a product yield is improved. SOLUTION: Related to a sapphire substrate of a blue light LED with a sapphire as a substrate, at least one channel is provided by symmetrical etching with a first electrode as a center. One GaN thin-film layer of about the same thickness is formed above and below the substrate, and the upper and lower GaNs are brought into contact to the channel to naturally form a current flow circuit for the LED. The current flow circuit leads to a conductive layer through each one channel in a buffer thin-film layer, an epitaxial layer, and the substrate from the first electrode, forming an upright LED with the sapphire as a substrate. |
