PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user authentication method capable of reducing the load for the input and management of user authentication information while maintaining a high security level. SOLUTION: The method is provided with a step for detecting the state of another computer resource having dependence relation between an object to be accessed and as to user authentication at the time of executing user authentication operation for the object to be accessed and a step for checking whether the state of the detected other computer resource satisfies the condition for the substitutive input of the user authentication information for the object to be accessed or not, and when the state satisfies the condition, substitutively inputting the user authentication information for the object to be accessed instead of the user.
