PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the output of a pulse laser at oscillation of a highly repetitive pulse laser. SOLUTION: This power supply device for a pulse laser accumulates charge energy into a charging capacitor C0 from a charging D.C. power supply 1 and supplies the charge energy accumulated in the capacitor C0 to a laser discharge part LD serially connected to a peaking capacitor CP, while sequentially compressing and transferring a magnetic pulse via a magnetic pulse compression circuit of saturable reactors CL1 to CL3 and capacitors C1, C2 and CP on turning on of a switch element SW. The power supply includes a coil L1 coupled magnetically with a saturable reactor SL1 and connected to a terminal of the peaking coil CP having a positive voltage of an induction voltage of the reactor SL1, and an inductor L connected at its one end to a negative voltage terminal of the coil L1, and grounded at the other end.
