PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated piezoelectric transformer with a long service life in load, a high boosting ratio and high efficiency and a power converter with the transformer, by using a structure driven by a half-wave mode without generating full-wave mode. SOLUTION: An inut electrode is provided at the central part of a long plate-shaped piezoelectric sheet. Each piezoelectric sheet and each input electrode are laminated alternately. A driving unit polarized in thickness direction and a generating unit polarized in opposite poles at both ends in an elongated direction across the driving unit are formed integrally in a sintered body. The input electrode is connected to a pair of outer electrode for every other layer at a central part of the side face in an elongated direction. In a laminated piezoelectric transformer, an output is obtained between an output electrode at edge face in an elongated direction of the generating unit and any one of outer electrodes, and the excitation is carried out in a half-wave mode, and a ratio L2/L1 of the full length L1 in the elongated direction, and the length L2 of the driving unit is set to the range of 0.3 to 0.6.
