PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical equipment constituted so that the deviation of an image forming plane caused by hysterisis at the time of moving a lens can be corrected and high optical performance can be maintained in the optical equipment having a moving lens group moved on an optical axis in order to execute variable power. SOLUTION: This optical equipment is constituted so that an image is formed on the image forming plane by using an optical system 1 including the moving lens group. The equipment is provided with a driving means driving the moving lens group, a control means 17 controlling the driving means, a detection means detecting the difference between the position of the image forming plane obtained when the moving lens group 102 of the optical system 1 for power variation is moved from a wide angle side to a telephoto side and the position of the image forming plane obtained when the lens group 102 is moved from the telephoto side to the wide angle side and a recording means 16 for recording control information which includes the positional difference between the image forming planes and which is used for driving the lens group 102. The control means 17 controls the driving means on the basis of the control information so as to correct the positional difference between the image forming planes.
