PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-can multiple-channel hot-water heater which can prevent hot water from being discharged, when hot water discharge is started on the hot water supplying side after the hot-water supplier is started independently for reheating, without having to provide special traps. SOLUTION: When independent reheating operation is started, a water quantity control valve 31 is set at an intermediate valve travel and a by-pass water quantity control valve 32 is opened fully. When the water temperature near a junction 45 rises to about 30 deg.C or when a period of five minutes elapses after the individual reheating operation is started, the water quantity control valve 31 is completely closed.
