PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that makes a paper size constant for each page without being affected by a change in the number of lines of a received FAX image in the subscanning direction in the case of printing the received FAX image on roll paper. SOLUTION: In the case of printing a FAX image received by a reception section 2, a line number of the FAX image of one page that is sent (received) in the subscanning direction is compared with a line number of a preset paper size. When the line number of the received FAX image is more, a reduction rate of matching the size of the FAX image with the paper size is calculated and a print section applies reduction print to the received FAX image. On the other hand, when the line number of the received FAX image is less than the print line number of the set paper size, the roll paper is idle-fed by the share. Thus, the paper size of the paper on which the received FAX image is printed is made constant and filing is simply conducted.
