SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PASSENGERS

PURPOSE: A detecting system of passengers and its method are provided to exactly detect seated statuses of the passengers based on the result of a detecting process. CONSTITUTION: A system for detecting passengers comprises an oscillator(11) to generate a weak electric field around antenna electrodes; an amplitude control circuit(12) to control an amplitude from the oscillator(11) to the antenna electrodes; an information detecting circuit(15) to detect information about the forward current of the information detecting circuit; an AC(Alternating Current)-DC(Direct Current) converting circuit(16) to convert DC from the information detecting circuit; an amplifier(17) to amplify a signal from the AC-DC converting circuit; a switching circuit(18) contained plural switching elements(18a-18d) and contacted with the information detecting circuit; connectors(19a-19d) arranged inside a housing of a control circuit(22) and contacted with the switching elements(18a-18d); a phase difference detecting circuit(20) to detect a phase difference between feeding signals from the oscillator to the antenna electrodes; an amplifier(21) to amplify an output signal of the phase difference detecting circuit(20); the control circuit(22) contained a MPU(Microprocessor Unit); a connector(23) to contacted with a battery source to be arranged inside the housing; and a current circuit(24) contacted with the connector(23) and the control unit(22). Thereby, the detecting system is simplified.
