PURPOSE: A method for switching an IP in a LAN switch is provided to remove communication delay, improve the communication speed, to reduce a traffic load to a communication path. CONSTITUTION: The first switch receives an ARP request packet from a source host(S1) and transmits the ARP request packet to an end host based on network structure information(S2). The end host receives the ARP request packet through the second switch and loads a MAC address to an ARP response packet for transmitting to the source host, and the source host receives the ARP response packet transmitted through the first and second switches(S3). The end and source hosts perform direct communication through the first and second switches without going via a gateway or a router(S4). |
