PURPOSE: A method for reporting call contents in one's absence using the personal computer(PC) of an operator in a switching system is provided to service the call contents from the PC to an e-mail address at a desired time, by storing the information of the calls received to a registered subscriber. CONSTITUTION: When an incoming signal is generated(S41), the data in an internal memory is searched and thereby it is checked if the incoming signal is for the subscriber registered in the call contents reporting service(S42). A voice message that informs the absence of an incoming subscriber is output to an originating subscriber(S43). The information, necessary for the incoming subscriber to contact to the originating subscriber, is requested to the originating subscriber(S44). The information of the call contents in the absence of the incoming subscriber is transmitted to an operator's PC(S45). The information of the call contents is stored as a file for each subscriber(S46). The mail transmission time stored in advance is searched(S47), and it is determined if the time in the PC equals to the stored mail transmission time(S48). The information of the call contents is sent to the registered e-mail address(S49).
