PURPOSE: The compression terminal is provided to simplify a wire connecting work and reduce production costs when connecting the magnet wire to the terminal. CONSTITUTION: In a pressure connection terminal(20), a base(21) and a pair of side walls(22a)(22b) extended upward from the both sides of the base(21) form a channel having a U-shaped cross section. A plurality of pressing blades(27) are formed laterally at the base(21) and the both side walls(22a)(22b). Bottoms(28) between the pressing blades(27) have different depths. When pressing the both side walls(22a)(22b) to a magnet wire(10) inserted longitudinally in the channel, a part of the pressing blades(27) penetrates a coating(12) and contacts to an inner line(11) of the magnet wire(10). The depth of the bottom(28) between the blades(27) located adjacently to the front end of the magnet wire(10) is the largest.
