APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING DAMAGE OF TUYERE FOR BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing damage of a tuyere for a blast furnace is provided to prevent damage of the Tuyere by molten pig iron and reverse flow of slag by blocking a front part of the Tuyere when supply of heated air by a blower is blocked. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for preventing damage of a tuyere (120) for a blast furnace (100) comprises a mounting hole (10) which is formed by penetrating into wall of the blast furnace (100), wherein the mounting hole (10) is equipped with an oval shaped member (R) which is rounded upward as facing outside of the blast furnace at lower side of the Tuyere (120), a piston (20) which is inserted to be installed at side of the mounting hole (10), wherein a return spring (21) contracted or expanded by heated air supplied from a blower is mounted inside the piston (20), a blocking bar (30) which is connected to a rod of the piston (20), wherein the Tuyere (120) is blocked by the blocking bar (30) as it is projected into the mounting hole (10) by the return spring (21) when supply of heated air by the blower is stopped.
