PURPOSE: A method for managing a router using a routing table is provided to make an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) agent interlock with a routing protocol module of a router, and to search available information driving the router for the use of a manager. CONSTITUTION: An SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) agent(20) searches a routing protocol performed inside a router, to confirm a kind of the routing protocol and transmit the routing protocol to a manager(10). Whether an operator desires the routing information is confirmed. If so, the SNMP agent(20) searches the routing information. The searched routing information is converted to a form of an MIB(Management Information Base) and transmitted to the manager(10). The manager(10) receiving the MIB form of routing information displays the corresponding information to the operation in table form.
