LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to improve image quality and the aperture ratio by reducing a parasitic capacitance between a pixel electrode and a data bus in a substrate of a liquid crystal display in which a TFT and a pixel electrode are formed. CONSTITUTION: The LCD includes a gate insulating film formed on a gate electrode(160a). A data but line(170) is formed on the gate insulating film. A rectangular light-shield film(175) is made of the same material to the data bus line at a layer in which the data bus line is formed and is in parallel formed from both ends of the data bus line. A protection film is intervened between the light-shield film and the pixel electrode. The light-shield film(175) and the data bus line(170) are connected by means of a semiconductor resistance film.
