<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a processing load on a router attended with its path calculation that is placed in a large-scale network system where many packet transfer paths per one router are in existence. SOLUTION: The router acquires a connection configuration (map) of a network system 10 by executing a routing protocol, calculates a least routing path based on the acquired map and a limit value of a preset hop number (number of transfer paths for a packet) and stores a cross-referencing list between a transfer destination on the calculated least routing path and a destination of the packet to a path control table. on the other hand, when the router receives a packet, the router transfers the received packet to a transfer destination in the cross-referencing list when the destination of the received packet is coincident with a destination in the path control table.</p> |
