PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make avoidable a step-out in an on-vehicle analog needle type speedometer using a stepping motor and make realizable a smooth movement of the needle. SOLUTION: A data converter circuit 21 coverts input data corresponding to e.g. speed data into a plurality of bit data Dm of deflection angles corresponding to the needle indication angles of a speedometer. A deflection angle data hold circuit 22 temporarily holds the deflection angle data Dm, a digital delay circuit 23 integrates the data, a trigonometric function converter circuit 24 converts the output of the digital delay circuit 23 to trigonometric function data (sin, cos, etc.), and a drive circuit 25 supplies a current quantity corresponding toe trigonometric function data thus obtained to an electromagnetic coil of a stepping motor in the meter body 30. |
