PURPOSE: An indoor unit for wall-mounted air conditioner is provided, in which the inlet port formed at the upper portion of the front cover is changed into an upper grille detachable from the front cover, to thereby remove dust or foreign substances from the air suction unit in an easy and convenient manner. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit comprises a front cover(30) having a front griller(20), a rear cover to be coupled to the front cover and which is attached to the wall, and a heat exchanger installed within the indoor unit. The front cover has at a top surface thereof an upper grille(40) with a plurality of inlet holes(42) and a groove(41) for detachment. The upper grille is mounted to be attachable/detachable to/from the front cover by a first coupling unit or a second coupling unit. The first coupling unit includes an inclined plug formed at the front cover, and a socket formed at the upper grille and which is to be coupled to the inclined plug. The second coupling unit is a hook formed at the upper grille in such a manner that the hook gets caught by the stopper groove formed at the front cover. |
