Garage door actuation method uses motor vehicle key ring taking coded signal from control on vehicle

Method uses a motor vehicle key ring which takes its coded signal from a control (22) on the vehicle, so that it is not necessary to provide the combination of the key-ring to a receiver (23) on the garage door. The vehicle control communicates with the key ring combination by an emitter -receiver (BF). The method can involve a security mode in which an employee can operate the vehicle without access to domestic codes. Independent claims are also included for (a) the locking, and for (b) remote distance signaling system.
