PURPOSE: A wooden piece having a sewed-part sewable without cracks and a mat using the wooden piece are provided to facilitate sewing, and prevent cracks of the wooden piece, and the sewing thread from being pushed or loose. CONSTITUTION: A wooden piece(30) is used for a mat or a seat cover. In the wooden piece, a sewed part(32) is formed during leaving space from an end(31) in the direction of length. In the sewed part, the middle part of the section is removed to have transition parts, so that the wood remains only in the upper part and lower parts. Holes(36) for sewing are punched in the wooden piece during leaving space from the end. The middle part and the sewing holes of the wooden piece are filled with soft resin. The resin is hardened during being contacted with the upper and lower parts and the inside of the sewing holes.
