PURPOSE: A method for producing thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid salt is provided, thereby arginine thiazolidine carboxylate can be easily produced at room temperature within a short time. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid salt comprises the steps of: dissolving arginine represented by formula (3) and thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid in water; filtering the solution and collecting the filtrate; mixing alcohol or nonalcohol crystallizing solvent with the filtrate to produce thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid arginine salt represented by formula (1), in which alcohol crystallizing solvent is one of methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, butanol, ethyleneglycol or glycerol and nonalcohol crystallizing solvent is acetone or acetonitrile; and the reaction temperature is room temperature.
