PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map preparing method capable of preparing map information in an arbitrary prescribed area along the route figure selected by an user so as to conform to a use purpose. SOLUTION: In this map preparing method, sets arbitrary cut-out widths are set on both sides from a starting place to a target place of a selected route figure (network) in the road network displayed on a display device 25 and cuts out the cut-out widths by a cut-out processing part 213 and displays map information conformed with the use purpose in detail in this cut out area and prepares the map information. |
