PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generalize a differential phase modulation system for the purpose of employing the system for an optional number of antennas. SOLUTION: A plurality of base band signals is generated, each base band signal has one or more temporal complex sequence, and respective antennas 15 of a multiplex transmitter antenna array transmit each sequence. Each base band signal can be expressed as a transmission matrix. In this matrix, each column denotes each antenna 15 and each row depicts each time segment. Each transmission matrix is generated based on input data and a preceding transmission matrix denoting a base band signal sent previously. The base band signal modulates a carrier to generate a transmission carrier level signal. The transmission carrier level signal is sent by the multiplex transmitter antenna array. At least one antenna 20 on the receiver side receives a reception carrier level signal.
