PURPOSE: Tangleweed Kimchi which contains tangleweed as a main ingredient, and a method for preparation thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing tangleweed Kimchi comprises the steps of: (i)boiling tangleweed gathered from sea in sea water of 80-100deg.C, cooling immediately, and dewatering; (ii)preserving with salt, dewatering again, and keeping in a cold-storage room at -20deg.C; (iii)washing prepared tangleweed for the salt density to reach 3-4%, adding conventional sub-materials for preparing Kimchi, and making tangleweed Kimchi; and (iv)maturating in a refrigerator at 2-5deg.C for 3-7 days.
