PURPOSE: A method for controlling a shared channel packet service power between an RIU(Radio Interface Unit) and an RP(Radio Port) of a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) is provided to make many RIUs sharing one packet traffic channel use a reverse packet traffic channel by dividing time to each other, and to make each RIU perform power control during a time for transmitting reverse packet data only. CONSTITUTION: If a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) RIU(Radio Interface Unit) requests time slots of a shared packet traffic channel and a packet signal channel, a WLL RP(Radio Port) decides an initial traffic power and transmits the initial traffic power to the WLL RIU(ST11). The WLL RIU controls power of the signal channel relating to an allocated time slot by packet traffic power information, and transmits reverse data to the RP(ST12,ST13). The RP measures a signal strength of the received signal channel, and generates transmission power control information of the WLL RIU, then progresses to the steps 'ST12,ST13'(ST14).
