PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent possibility of the occurrence of intermission of a reproduced video image becoming high in the case of using a disk with a high error rate which intermittence is caused because the length of a buffer is fixed independently of the error rate of the disk, in a conventional video server device. SOLUTION: This video server device 1 is provided with a video data storage section 108 that is connected to at lest one terminal 112, receives/outputs digital data including AV data in response to a command from the terminal 112, and stores the AV data, a disk controller 106 that controls input/output of the AV data stored in the video data storage section 108, and a buffer 113 that stores the AV data between the video data storage section 108 and the disk controller 106. The video server device 1 makes the length of the buffer variable, depending on the number of times of occurrence of errors in the video data storage section 108. |
