EVALUATION OF CORNIFIED ENVELOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating skin quality. SOLUTION: A cornified envelope in a subcorneal sample originating from skin is dyed by a hydrophobic region dyeing coloring matter and the dyeing property of the cornified envelope is used as an index for evaluation. Also, the antigenicity of the cornified envelope configuration protein is detected by antihuman involcrin antibody, and the detected antigenicity is used as the index of evaluation for evaluating the property of the cornified envelope for configuring the subcorneal of skin and hence the skin quality is evaluated.
