PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of detecting charged level of fuel container formed almost arbitrarily by improving the device for detecting charged level of liquid in a fuel container especially for a car. SOLUTION: A measuring room 7 connected to a container 1 and extending beyond the largest height to be measured has a connection part with a controllable liquid conveying means and is provided with a measuring device 11 for detecting time necessary for charging or emptying the measurement room 7 and an evaluation unit 13 for calculating charged level of the container 1 from the detected time.
