PURPOSE: A fault message paging apparatus and method of a full electronic exchange are provided to recognize generation of a fault of a system quickly even though an operator is at a distance by transmitting the number of a fault generated during operation of an exchange to a pager of the operator in case where a full electronic exchange is aimed at operating unattended and automatically. CONSTITUTION: A switching operating work station executes fault number and model control program(S101). The work station monitors the state of a plurality of processors of the exchange, and when a fault is generated, the work station collects the generated fault information of a corresponding processor(S102) The work station analyzes the collected fault information, determines whether it si to be reported to an operator, and reads the number of a pager to be called and the fault number of a corresponding processor where the fault has been generated if it is to be reported to the operator(S103). The work station opens an RS-232C cable and connects to a pager corresponding to the pager number and initializes a model to transmit the fault message to the connected pager(S104). As the modem is initialized, the work station writes the number to be called through the modem to the PSTN network by using a model instruction to connect to the corresponding pager, and transmits the fault message to the connected pager(S105). As a predetermined time elapses, the work station determines whether there is more fault number to be transmitted(S106). |
