PURPOSE:To obtain speed change performance as fixed without large breakage of speed change timing even in case of a low car velocity by switching a solenoid in the lapse of a designated time after the speed change start is decided in case of a low car velocity. CONSTITUTION:The speed change control device includes an input rotating speed detecting means A for detecting the rotating speed of an input shaft of a gear mechanism, an output rotating speed detecting means B for detecting the rotating speed of an output shaft of the gear mechanism, and a rotating speed ratio arithmetic means C for calculating the actual rotating speed ratio of the input shaft and the output shaft according to signals from both rotating speed detecting means. In the case where the rotating speed of the output shaft is more than a designated value, when the actual rotating speed ratio changes up to the rotating speed ratio previously set on every kind of change speed, the on-off state of a solenoid F is switched to the state after speed change by the first solenoid switching means D. In the case where the rotating speed of the output shaft is smaller than a designated value, when the elapsed time after the speed change start is decided amounts to a value previously set on every kind of change speed, the on-off state of the solenoid F is switched to the state after speed change by the second solenoid switching means E. |
