PURPOSE: A method for removing weeds in the side of road by using steam and a device therefor are provided. The weeds can be removed stably and rapidly by spraying high temperature of steam thereon to suppress the growth thereof. CONSTITUTION: The method for removing weeds in the side of road comprises the steps of: heating water in an airtight steamer to generate steam having the appropriate pressure; opening a valve of a steam sprayer connected to the steamer; and spraying steam on the weeds in the side of road to suppress the growth of the weeds. The device for removing weeds consists of a steamer(1) comprising a water inlet hole(2), a water outlet valve(3), a pressure gauge(4), a safety valve(5), a burner(7) and an exhaust pipe(9); and a steam sprayer(11) comprising grip(13), a valve(14) for opening and shutting off, a steam spraying hosepipe(12) which penetrates through a hole in the upper part of the steamer(1), multiple spraying holes(15)(15') at its end, and a cover(16) and a safety cover(10) which covers the multiple spraying holes(15)(15').
