PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove a reflected wave from an object in a position exceeding a maximum detection range. SOLUTION: Transmitting antennas 14a, 14b, and 14c are sequentially switched on the basis of the time necessary for a transmission wave to go back and forth a maximum detection range for transmitting a transmission wave of a continuous wave. A target is detected by receiving a reflected wave reflected by an object 16 with a receiving antenna 18, obtaining a reception signal, and forming it into a beam. Because of the aforementioned switching of the transmitting antennas, a reflected wave from an object exceeding the maximum detection range is not a reflected wave of a transmission wave from a scheduled transmitting antenna. Accordingly, a signal thereof is removed by using the fact that an amplitude of a received signal formed into a beam is not sufficiently large, or by forming the signal into a beam on the assumption that it is a reflected wave of a transmission wave from a former transmitting antenna and using the fact that an amplitude in regard to an object exceeding the maximum detection range is larger.
|
